A few years ago, there was not enough sufficient information about nanotechnologies and nanosciences available, but the information that we managed to find was really interesting. We tried, unfortunately without satisfying results, to find in mass media much more detailed information about this fascinating scientific-research topic.

The undeniable fact is that nanotechnology and nanoresearch are one of the key priorities in the 21st century’s research and technologies. These research achievements already have numerous practical applications in our everyday life. We can find it in medical treatment, diagnostic medicine as well as information technology, environmental protection and households, just to name a few. Innovative products, services and nanotechnology-based processes not only simplify our everyday life, but also help us to rescue and lengthen human lives. They give us new perspective for further progress in economic development and can be found in every economic area, and therefore they can even help to create new workplaces.

Worldwide funds and financial investments that are destined to develop and support programs and new research in this field of research are enormous, and that caused introduction of many new products and technologies for public and individual users, on the world markets in recent years. We are aware, that we are not the only organization that is interested in nanotechnology as a scientific or informative subject or even a hobby.

We decided to create a new “informative platform” that is accessible for everyone in order to exchange information and services from the field of nanotechnology and nanosciences between the people, who are interested in this subject. This platform is intended to contribute to a continuous exchange of information, promoting of nanotechnology and designed to help you find professional contacts more easily. The platform would like to promote nanotechnology and help with innovative projects, but also keep you informed and show possible threats related to these technologies.

The main aims of our program are:

• To broaden the basic knowledge about nanotechnologies – informative materials, lectures, training demonstrations and cooperation with MEN (National Education Ministry) and media
• To inform about the importance of nanotechnologies for human life and the environment
• To promote and popularize nanotechnologies by using it in industrial companies
• To contribute to implementation and dissemination of new solutions and technical ideas as well as scientific research in Poland and abroad
• To organize and perform activities related to transfer of nanotechnologies and innovations from science to economy, especially through exchange of information as well as scientific and technical ideas
• To create a common platform where one can exchange experience, including exchange of good practices, for instance about how to organize training courses, seminars, conferences etc.
• To provide the platform members with PR and marketing support, searching for new workplaces or training places for students.

We would like to invite everyone who is interested in nanosciences to take an active role in this project.
